About If Walls Could Talk

Painting services and homeowner guidance built around clear standards and communication

If Walls Could Talk (IWCT) works with a small group of vetted local crews to help homeowners get better outcomes on their painting projects. The focus is not just on the work itself, but on how the entire process is handled.

My name is Heather. I spent years working on homes directly before IWCT became what it is today. I realized I couldn't personally paint every home in Brevard County, so I built a system to make sure the work still gets done the right way. My experience showed me exactly where things tend to break down. Prep gets skipped. Materials get changed without explanation. Communication fades once the job starts. Most homeowners are never shown what to ask, or what quality work should actually look like.

What You Can Expect

Every project includes:

  • Written scope of work before anything starts
  • Defined timelines and clear expectations upfront
  • Regular communication throughout the job
  • Thorough surface preparation
  • Materials selected for Florida's heat, humidity, salt air, and UV
  • A complete paint record at the end, documenting every product and color used

Why This Site Has So Much Free Information

Florida removed its state painting license requirement in 2021. There's no longer an official filter between a homeowner and whoever shows up with a brush. Most people don't know that.

That's why I built out the guides and resources here. Even if you never hire IWCT, I want you to know what good prep looks like, what questions to ask, and how to spot a job done right.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is IWCT different from hiring a standard painting contractor?

Most painting projects rely on verbal agreements and inconsistent communication. IWCT introduces a defined scope, clearer expectations, and a structured process that stays consistent from start to finish.

How are crews selected for each project?

IWCT works with a small group of vetted local crews. Crews are selected based on reliability, workmanship standards, and consistency on past projects.

Do homeowners still make the final decisions on their project?

Yes. Homeowners always approve the scope, materials, and timing before work begins. IWCT's role is to provide structure, clarity, and oversight throughout the process.
